Pics of a Torhans 30 on a Cervelo P2/P3?

Anyone have a picture of a Torhans 30 on a Cervelo P2/P3. Currently have a profile aerodrink and like the 32 oz capacity, but would like to get something that doesn’t bulge in front of the headtubes so much so am debating between the Torhans and the profile design aero HC. I’m leaning towards the Torhans just due to the fact that it has a higher capacity than the profile (Torhans measure capacity is 34 vs the spec’d 30 while the PD is 28oz) and the fact I can keep my BTA Garmin mount out in front of me vs under my chin when riding. I like the higher capacity so I can carry all I need for an HIM in my BTA combined with one on by downtube. Just curious how that Torhans bottle integrates with the front tube angle and if it’s as nice in real life as the design intent.

Thanks in advance all,
Andrew

i have a pic of one in my profile, albeit small. I used a torhans 30 for a 70.3 last year on my P2. It integrated well. I now use an xlab torpedo BTA for no other reason than i thought maybe it might be more aero, who knows

I previously had the PD aero bottle and it’s nice except it splashes your nutrition all over the front end and it only holds 16oz or so.
I also used a PD HC and while no splashing it takes too much room. I had to mount my garmin on one of the extensions and I like it in front where I can see it better.
I like the Torhans 30: no splashing, holds 30oz and it has a really nice shape which blends well with the head tube.

Well that’s helpful, thanks! Looks like you mount your garmin just like I do. Did you have to buy the torhans mount, wondering if my current aerodrink mount will work. Got any more pics near the stem showing your uber clean cable routing?? That’s just perfect!

I have a few pictures here: https://www.dropbox.com/...sacfcu3td/wPq-v1TEZ8

The photos are full size and there’s a download link at the top of the page so you can look at them @ 100% zoom. The Zipp bars are nice and easy to cable, and the cable ports are close to the stem so they route nicely.

One of the tricks I used was to reverse the brake levers (right is front brake and left is rear brake). This way I could run the cables very tight and have full range of steering. With the traditional cabling I found that the right lever cable has to wrap around the head tube to enter the frame on the left side… By reversing the levers you now have the right cable going to the front brake straight down and the left cable going into the frame on the left side.

I found it very easy to adapt to this change and in fact most of the bikes sold or made in Europe have this by default so it’s no big deal.

I used the TriRig Sigma stem which helps to keep things clean. It has an integrated cable stop in case you use a center pull brake such as the Omega. I also used a zip tie to keep the shift cables together and close to the frame so they are invisible from the front. The other option would have been to drill the top tube but I didn’t have to guts to do it

man, thta’s perfect. And I have another project to do! thanks again.

Hi, your aerodrink mount won’t work on with the Aero 20/30 as it is a different shape, or I should say it won’t work well.
