awesome pics! The Dean is a thing of beauty.

I missed you guys by a day. I was there the day prior but had to get home to come to Taiwan. Love the A2 guys. They do an awesome job and really do provide a great service.

I’ll be posting the Kestrel tunnel pics soon. Stay tuned …

The guys at A2 are top notch and the best that I have worked with!

Wow! Boone looks an awful lot like Einstein! Hell, I have not seen a photo of him since - what? The 1989 TdF when Greg was on the Scotts with clipless pedals…

Great photos. I do think that Giant look an awful lot like an OE P3C.

Is there much point asking what the Giant bike’s numbers looked like? I’m guessing that they’re largely secretive!?!

The only thing i could say about them was that they are FAST.

Thanks for that, I thought that they probably would be, but we all know how wrong an eye-ball windtunnel can be!

There are not too many Boone sightings in general. Spending 3 days with the man. He is PURE genious (mixed with mad scientist).

The Giants are alot prettier in person. Very clean. Very sleek.

Not to take away from the aerodynamic testing but everyone should take note of Mike G from the A2 tunnel. You will notice Hed and Boone dressed for the cold in the tunnel and Mike dressed like it’s toasty warm. I made the mistake of not dressing warm and froze my butt off. I don’t understand how that guy stays warm in there.

The Prototype Lazer helmet, looks like a cross between a stormtrooper helmet and they helmets the guys in Empire strikes back wore.

Great photos. I do think that Giant look an awful lot like an OE P3C.

I thought the same thing. Thanks for the pics!

Considering they were coming from Montana and Minnesota, you would think that they would think the tunnel was warm!

Thanks for sharing these great photos. Looking through the photos it looks like Eneko Llanos is very compressed and has a very large curve/hump in his back from his position. Was this his final position/setup? Thanks again for posting the pictures.

Thanks for the pics Jason.

Looks like low and narrow with arms parallel to slightly raised was the move for most everyone. Did you guys find any positions that didn’t find this to be most aero(did the Levi position work for Eneko)? Did anyone find going too low was no faster??

Richie looks like his new position has a lot more drop than he has used in the past. Do you know how much drop he was moved to?

Thanks again!

Team Columbia is riding Scott for 2009…

Why test Columbia riders on the Giant? Wouldn’t it make more sense to test them on the Scott TT frame?

Just wonderin’…

Many riders will still be on the Giant Superbike, so they still test and use them.
Here are a few pics from Columbia’s training camp where they did a few TTTs. Note some riders on the Scotts, some riders on the Giants.

It was part of the contract that they can still use the Giant TT bike. It will be available in the 2010 line up for us mortals. It also looks like a 1080 or sub9 will fit on it. Imagine that!

I would think not having brakes, levers, and cables would help make them fast in the tunnel.

Those are great photos Jason- thank you very much. You make a lot of great contributions here and its much appreciated.

What a day! Boone Lennon, Steve Hed! Incredible. Those are the days when five years worth of valuable learning can take place in only one day. Are you doing a blog article or write up in any of the magazines about this? Very interesting. Thanks again.
