Hi Guys,
Currently dealing with my PF and some one suggested that it may be as a result of time on the bike?
Im doing around 8-14 hours on the bike depending on the week (prob avg around the 10hr)
Has anyone found that cycling annoys there PF.
Up until this stage I thought it was from my running so have dropped my run but kept riding.
Cheers

Presuming that PF is plantar facitis, I would say it is most likely the run is the worst though the bike and other activities will influence it. I struggled with it most of the summer. It really boils down to good insoles/support. Throw the crappy ones that come with the shoes away and buy some good ones - no need for custom orthotics. You need support through the arches and you need that in pretty much any shoe you wear. Put em in your work shoes, your bike shoes and your run shoes, that is if you can still run. You can still cycle, but avoid hilly courses if you can. I wouldn’t run for awhile. At least you are getting it going into the fall, mine blew my whole season
Good luck!

I have. Cycling for an hour or so annoys my plantar fascia far more than running even a marathon or longer distance. I’m not sure if it’s due to the flat soles in my cycling shoes (my work shoes also have flat soles and I find they annoy it as well after eight hours or so) or because I tend to curl my toes inside the shoes while riding.
