far be it from me to question the training of a pro, very very very far, but…

this is from his article on xtri.com:

I was lucky to find some running races back home to keep me sharp and started with Mountain Marathon two weeks after Hawaii to finish first in 2:39 in a race with a 600m elevation gain. Then I have a few days of rest, a half marathon in my hometown next weekend, some more rest, another marathon race in Ostrava, and some more rest while travelling to Australia…

so he’s going to do another ironman in late november, in australia. ain’t nothin wrong with that. but 2.5 marathons in between? is that conventional?

i’m not saying he doesn’t know what he’s doing. i am, however, saying that i don’t know what he’s doing. i’m curious. can someone tell me?

His training is race-based (ie he races like 100-200 races a year from what I understand)
