Pretty cool half ironman yesterday in Petoskey. Last minute swim change due to big waves went off without a hitch- kinda fun swimming in the harbor. Bike course is murder- quite windy- and just silly hills- total sufferfest- but real cool. Great run course- best run course in any tri I have done. Lots of food after the race- all in all, good first time event.

As to the woman who ‘won’ the race- whatever- I have never in my life seen drafting that bad- right on the wheel- stuck like glue. Normally, I dont give a rats ass- but this was pathetic and quite unfair to the other ladies- she did not win.

of course you are referencing the Breakwater Triathlon in Petosky offered by Element Events…as opposed to another event there two weeks earlier which officially goes by “Petosky Triathlons”.

i hope to get up there next year for Breakwater.

I think I was 4:56ish- had a really good run and was 4th? My buddy Eddie won it- he is an ox. Its not a fast course, but worth the trip. I hope they keep it going. I really enjoyed myself.
