Peter Reid Comeback?

Macca implies a possible Peter Reid comeback in Triathlete Magazine. (Aug 2007 issue, pg 101) In it he says, “I will be playing the run trump card, as will Cameron Brown, Beke, maybe Peter Reid if he’s back.”

Does anyone know anything about this? Is Peter contemplating a comeback??

Whoa, with a 38:06 10k I don’t think he will be tearing up Kona.
I would love to see him comeback, but only if he felt he could contend. Unless he will just be racing to have fun.

Why would he need to run any faster? He won the race.

Pete’s the man–if he wanted it he would go get it. Nice to be where he is–3 time Kona champ and able to kick back, have fun, and kick us mortal’s ass when he want’s to!

anyone who complains about a 38 10k is very much missing the big picture!

He gets ragged on for “dogging” it on the bike at kona. It looks like he “Stadlered” the bike in this race and gets ragged for the run. ST too funny.

I heard an interview (I dont remember where) that was air after the Macca interview where Peter said he was planning on making a comeback after seeing the times in Kona. But he went on to say that he didn’t think he could get back into race shape the way he wanted to because he has a stress fracture so the comeback is out for now. This was a few months ago and I dont know if there has been an update since then.

HAHA.
If you knew anything about the race…you would know the run was a trail run and longer than 10k. The top guy who ran a 36:30, can run a 33 on an open course.

Any idea on what was up with all the DQs in that race? (Not sure if you were there or just checked results)
