Personal Sauna 'Bags'?

I’ve heard and read about the benefits of using a sauna in the lead-up to hot races. I’ve used the sauna at the gym where I swim, but during the school year (I’m a teacher) I have a hard time getting there more than twice a week. I qualified for Kona for the first time this year, and would like any help I can get in adapting to the heat.

Amazon has some small home saunas for around $1000, but they also have these gimmicky sauna ‘bags’ for under $200. Any idea if one would get any of the benefits from a regular sauna using one of these ‘bag’ products?

Set up a trainer in your bathroom.Crank up the hot water or get a pot boiling for humidity then add a couple of small heater with fans and you have your own Kona prep sauna. This set-up has been used by many people with success.

I feel like if your head isn’t in the sauna, then it wont be nearly as useful in adapting.

Exercise in heat produces better acclimation than passive heat, but passive heat (sauna) following exercise can also be quite effective.
