I’m heading out tomorrow am to drive up. Wondering for those there what the weather is like & what the expected race day weather is. I always pack to much stuff & wonder how much cool weather items I’ll need for nights.

Barb…the weather here is a tad bit chilly. It is supposed to warm up for the next few days and I think race day high is 68 with a low of 51 per www.weather.com with a 20% chance of rain. The mornings are quite nippy. To be honest, it hasn’t really warmed up too much since I got here on Sunday. I would definitely plan on bringing some cooler weather race stuff.

The Weather Channel is calling for a high of 68F with a 20% chance of rain. As far as I’m concerned, that is PERFECT race weather!!!
Thanks for the replys. I’m from the NW & have a hard time going anywhere without rain & cold weather gear. Sound like I will contine my habit. I went to Louisville in early Aug & had to be convinced I wouldn’t need arm warmers.
Hopefully it will be on the normal side of cool. I’v e done it when it rain heavily the day before then been decent to near 100 degrees.

I wouldn’t place much faith in the weather predictions. From my experience they are usually 3-5 degrees cel. under what the actual temp was. If it says 28 degrees it wil usually be more like 32 -33.
