This weekend is the club training weekend in Penticton. I’m skipping the long ride, but will be bringing the wetsuit, running shoes and my golf clubs. How comfortable is the lake right now?
OK lake is not swimmable in May. EVER.

I’ve been swimming in it earlier than this in previous years. Mind you, not for long, and I was born in Winnipeg.

kettle valley railway worth a look. decent off road run there - not super technical though.

Tucelnuit Lake in Oliver is alreay swimable, WCOC tri there on Sunday. Balance Point training camp was in oliver swimming last weekend and it was more than warm enough. After a week of 24-25 degree weather it has warmed up since then.

I just stuck to the pool at the Bowmont after the ride - it was reliable! Then settled in to the lawn chair, BBQ and keg of beer.

water temp today at 6pm, 14 degres… i already swam… it s not great…but it s swimmable…
Skaha is about 15 degres… oliver is at 17 degres… we are hitting some nice warm weather…all lakes are going to be ready early this year!!!
