I’ve seen this thread before, but I can’t seem to find it – IMC/Penticton - where do you stay in Penticton that is less than $100 or less/night? I’ve heard that there are locals with trailers, cabins. sheds, lean-tos, bedrooms, etc. - anyone have a contact for such people? I know Summerland has some more affordable motels - I’m looking for something closer to Penticton - 2 beds, 3 nights - not sharing with a goat or horse.
Good luck!
Sorry but I have to comment. Maybe you can’t find any info because the correct spelling is Penticton and while I’m at it, it’s spelled accommodations.
Again I apologize for being the spelling/grammar police.

My bad. Hey, thanks!
Good luck!
PenTicton is expensive even outside of IMC week. It seems like it is essentially Calgary’s summer playground. You can try bbcanada.com which has a list of b&b’s, there are some lower end, renovated basement suite types on there. Also check the surrounding communities (Naramata, Kaleden etc).

So obviously you aren’t saying NO to sheep … next thing you’ll want is a bed to sleep in and probably a free breakfast! Some people are just too hard to please.
Really … everything gets jacked up in price for IM and next year is 30th anniversary … better take out a loan unless you really like animals ![]()

Your best bet is honestly waiting until next summer when people are trying to dump rooms because they aren’t going to race.
At this point, virtually everyone still intends to race - and places to stay are booked up same day as the race of the year before, most at rates closer to $300+ for something in town. Once you get to next spring/summer folks will start posting extra rooms, etc…
We stayed in a motel that is a bit North of Oliver. So south of OK Falls. Galogher lake. There are a couple of motels at that spot. That was 2 years ago, and we’re able to book the rooms about 2 months before IMC although it was one large room with 2 beds and a kitchenette. Don’t recall the price but it was reasonable.
For the Motels in Penticton, they are Booked up the day after IMC for the next year.
