I received a penalty at Ironman 70.3 Des Moines but I don’t know why. The judge wouldn’t tell me and they didn’t know at the penalty box. I was too busy after the race to find someone to ask.
Anyway to find out what I did?

Someone on the bike course gave you a penalty and told you to stop at the next penalty tent?
It is almost certainly drafting with a distant maybe on blocking. The rest of the common bike penalties are easy to know if you did them. I don’t think the information is saved, unless you can maybe reach the head judge.

You were to busy doing what? I would be to busy finding out the reason why.
Yeah, that didn’t make much sense to me either. But, if you are busy, you are busy :-)!
You are probably right, but I wasn’t getting the time back and I wanted to spend my time with my family before they traveled back home rather then arguing with judge.
Yes that’s exactly it. I don’t think it was drafting. I may have crossed the center line passing a group riding side by side down I hill and I was traveling too fast to safely do anything else. Kinda annoyed the judge wouldn’t tell me after I kept asking. I asked the bikers around me but they didn’t know.
crossing the double is more likely a DQ. It was probably for blocking (or maybe littering. something came out of your pockets without you knowing) There are a lot of people that unintentionally block because they ride on the left side of the road for too long.
That was the second thing that came to mind; the first being a T3 Situation
