Pedals for big / wide feet

There seems to be a lot said about getting that perfect bike fit but when it comes to pedals for people with large or wide feet I don’t know of any options to get the pedal centred across the ball of the foot . I use Look pedals and end up with the cleats offset heavily to the instep to stop rubbing on the crankarms . I don’t know if this actually limits my pedal stroke or power production at all but it’s obviously not the same position as someone with a smaller or narrower foot .

Any thoughts on this ?

Our problem is common and more interesting than most would want to comment. That being said, The shimano dura ace really has cut down on the foot burning and foot fatigue. I use really good shoes and thus my problem has been eleminated. Some shoes work great some don’t so, check out shoes also.
