Pearl Izumi Tri Octane

Does anyone have insight on using the PI Tri Octane suit in a non-wetsuit swim? I’ll have a speedsuit over it, but wondering how hydrodynamic or rather how non-hydrodynamic the sleeves are. Thanks.

If it is non-wetsuit, you can’t have the sleeves on. You’ll have to roll it down under your swimskin and then pull it up in transition.

Only WTC races require this. USAT does not.

Probably fine as it fits pretty tight. You could always jump in the pool and try it out for yourself. I’m thinking you won’t see much of a difference if anything.

Whoops…my bad. Brain fart.

thanks. i’ve had conflicting responses when it comes to this. I know the WTC rule, but cozumel 70.3 organizers tell me I’ll be able to use it. will come prepared with a a backup plan for sure.

thanks!

I’d double check with the head official when you are down there. You can roll it down. But they are a PIA to get on wet.
