Do Pearls run large. I wear a 43 in most shoes (9 to a small 9.5) and found a pair of PI’s on-line.
Do Pear Izumi’s fit in sizes like shimano, sidi, or do they run large like Time shoes (wear a 42.5 is roomy). If you know, please let me know. thanks

Mine were spot on.
Over a year ago, their sizing was a half size too small; I am a true 9.5 but had to run in their 10. But they mentioned to me they knew they were off, and the sizes were summarily adjusted. They are of proper and true sizing now.

Are you referring to cycling shoes or running shoes…Pearl makes both and they both fit differently from each other?
cycling! I haven’t seen their running shoes. I am looking at 43 in their tri model, but a little concerned that if they are sized like Times, that size might be too big. I don’t know of any lbs’s that carry Pearl Izumi’s. US, I am a 9 to 9.5.
Your best bet is to try them on if possible.
The first round of the 2008 shoes were made in a new factory and the sizing was indeed off. Folks usually had to go 1 or 2 sizes up because the factory did not use the correct lasts. The 2008 tri shoes were the Tri Fly 2’s.
This was fixed for 2009. The Tri Fly 3’s fit on par with Sidi’s – at least in my size: 45.
Also, if you get the wrong size, just email one of the factory stores (there’s a link on the PI website) and they’ll swap you shoe sizes.
I have the Tri Fly 2s and they run small for me- I wear a 9 shoe, but their “43” fits me just right (alittle snug). For comparison, I also wear a 43 in Specialized shoes, but with more room.

I find them to be VERY narrow. I had to size way up to get them to fit width wise. I wouldn’t buy their road shoes for that reason and I get a 40% discount on Pearl stuff.

they fit very very small. I just returned a pair because it fit almost a size small.
I have PI AlpXs (MTB shoes) and they fit me perfectly. All my shoes are 47s (others sidi) and these fit me the best, but they might run 1/2 size small.
I wear a 42 in specialized and sidi, and when i bought a 42 in pearl’s that were incredibly snug, width and length. i’d say they run 1/2 to 1 size smaller than other brands.
