I received a free pair of Pear Izumi run shoes. I order them off their web site. I can’t find any local dealers & am not that familiar with the shoes. I am wondering how they run & what would be ther “best” shoes to get.
I have been running in Ascis & Rebok Permier Light of late. Have “raced” in the DS trainers. I insert my own orthotics & have to have the shoe modified with a 20mm lift across the bottom for a leg descrepancy. I have decided that I don’t like a motion control type shoe since with the orthotics they are too stiff. More enjoyable with a somewhat flexible shoe.
What arre others expreiences with pearl Izumi.
Thanks,
Barb.
I loved my Synchrofloats. it seemed I could have taken a 1/2 size smaller in the Izumi’s though. They always felt bigger than any other shoe I had on in the same size. That was also 3 years ago.
I have the synchroguides. I love them. Really comfortable and cushy. I have done 2 marathons and 2 ironmans in them (multiple pairs)
i was a heavier runner (over 150#) and needed stability shoes. I lost weight and now am interested in going to a lighter racing shoe for shorter races. I will still wear these for Marathons and IMs.
They are true to size for me. I wear a womens 8.5-9.
I have orthotics but dont wear or need them in these shoes.
Hope this helps.
I get a good fit with 1/2 size larger than my dress shoe size. I really like the “Shine” as my race shoe. I have SyncroFloat as well I like it, but nothing special. Their seamless upper is nice, especially if you don’t wear socks.
