They have a few, Bend OR, South Lake Tahoe,Gilroy,Vaccaville CA and a new one in Del Mar CA. Park City UT,Dawsonville GA,Chicago and Silverthorne CO

I’m going to be in SD over the weekend…and might be able to squeeze in a visit to the Pearl Izumi factory store in Del Mar. Lots of times, I’ve been in other so-called “outlets,” and most of the merchandise was full MSRP price. Are there still decent deals at the PI store in Del Mar?

Any help is appreciated…

I haven’t been there in quite awhile, but from what I remember you have to wait for the holiday sales to hit up the store for some great deals.

I regularly go to the North Conway, NH store since we have a place not far from there. They do have some good deals, but sometimes they are the same as what you can get at Nashbar. One example was the pair of Tri-2 shoes I got for $60 (they were samples from a show). I was just up there and got a pair of shirts for pretty cheap, too. The LG outlet down the road has some good deals, too, but it is more hit or miss.

I’ve been to the one in Bend OR. A lot of stuff was priced the same as area retailers, but the samples were super cheap. I think they had just gotten a shipment in and I scored a TON of stuff (jacket, tri shorts, bike shorts, shirt, socks) for about $140.

I was at the Silverthorne, CO outlet a couple of weekends ago. I did not think the deals were that great although there was a good selection of stuff.

Generally speaking,

Previous season gear is anywhere from 15-60% depending on the store while samples, in the case of PI Vacaville, are 50% off.

Current season products are not discounted so that the store does not compete with bike shops and other retail stores that carry PI merchandise.

I was at the Silverthorne, CO outlet a couple of weekends ago. I did not think the deals were that great although there was a good selection of stuff.
This store is just down the road and I haven’t bought anything. Prices don’t seem to be that special (especially compared to the vendor discount I can get :)).
