Dear Peaceful Tribe apparel supporters,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support of the Challenged Athletes Foundation through the purchase of the Cervelo and Headsweats apparel. The response has been outstanding, and I know I speak for Dylan, Ethan, Jonah, Sam and Zoey when I say how grateful and touched we are by your generosity. We’ve sent the hats you donated to the kids (and their families), and we’re also sharing them with other challenged athletes across the country.

Our annual San Diego Triathlon Challenge (http://caf.temp.powweb.com/html/pages/san_diego_triathlon_challenge) is coming up on October 30, and we foresee having several of the kids you’re supporting attend. I hope you’ll have the opportunity to join us in La Jolla for this remarkable event.

Virginia, any chance there will be a report and pictures on how “our” athletes enjoy the day? That would be great for those of us who can’t be there.

We always post a recap on our website after the race. We will make one available on Slowtwitch, as well.

If you’ve never done this race and want a trip to San Diego and a great time…put it in your plans for the future! You can do it solo, or as a team. I did the team thing one year and had a total blast. And, you get to ride many of the same roads that Plumb, Pooks, KestrelKerri and the SoCal folks talk about.
