Seeing as we don’t have the banner anymore I thought I would create awareness for what we’ve done in case anyone out there does not know about it…
Cervelo have produced a technical long-sleeve T-Shirt, a technical short sleeve T-Shirt, a technical sleeveless jersey and Headsweats have produced a technical race cap all of which are being sold on the Cervelo web site for charity.
All proceeds will be going to some children who have applied for grants with the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
The apparel and cap was inspired by an article by forum member Tom Demerly, entitled ‘The Peaceful Tribe’ in which he pays tribute to the values of this Slowtwitch forum…we are from all over the world yet “we are more the same than we are different” he wrote.
I took the article as inspiration and designed a T-shirt etc. and put it out to everyone to see what they thought of the idea.
Subsequently major companies stepped in to help out…with Cervelo coming through with a fantastic offer to even do the shipping themselves!!!

(By the way, I have not had time to do my proposed photo-shoot but I will get that done as soon as possible. I will verge on this side of decency in-line with true Tribe “hottie Thread” and such like gems…heh heh heh)

Does Peaceful Tribe want to donate a shirt to my TSR Marine? I am waiting on a package from Profile Design, after that the bike will be 100% and I will get it delivered to him (I hope in the next week or so).

Just wanted to let everyone know (if you don’t already) that I absolutely LOVE my Peaceful Tribe Long Sleeve Tech-Tee!! I also bought one for my hunny - I know “gag” we match on our runs, but they’re so awesome for the cooler night or morning runs and walks. Also, we’ve been taking them as one of the essential “must-packs” for cottage and Camping trips we’ve taken - sun protection, wicking, dry super fast, great cause… what more could you ask for!
