PC/Mac itunes question

Is there a way for me to move my itunes library from my windows based PC to my Macbook (other than by manually loading all of the music again)?

Hmmm not sure. But I do know there’s a way you can transfer tunes from your Ipod to a new computer. You’d have to download Yamipod or similar shareware.

The problem is that my ipod is formatted for PC, so if I want it to work with the Mac I have to reformat, thus clearing it (I think). This may turn into a rainy day project.

That is what the Genius Bar is for! Plus, if you ask them when you buy the thing, they will do it for you.

I already have it. I’ll have to go down to the apple store when I get back. Off to Kona tonight.

Will you stop by the kava bar and tell sage hello for me???

Can’t guaranty it, but maybe.

Cool!!

Give the Princess a kiss for me too.

Will do. Boarding in 15 minutes. Lets hope i don’t get rained out!

Yes, you can move it over, you’ll need to either network the computers and move the folder over, or move the files to some type of external hard drive and then load it to your mac. You will have to authorize your mac to be able to play the music.

A simple way - use a program called Senuti (yes, I finally figured out that’s iTunes spelled backwards). http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/

I used it to move all my iTunes stuff from my old PC to my new Mac. Very easy to use.

Thanks! That’s the kind of answer I was looking for…kj
