Well the PC’s are a lot easier to use after 2 weeks. My first day I was worried that I’d have to do 2-3 minute intervals for a while…but your body/brain adapts fairly quickly and by 2-3 days I could spin for 30 minutes with only a few short breaks. The coordination aspect of things got better fast.
I’ve gone as long as 1 hour. All my rides are on a CT because I live in snow/ice country…my legs are definitely more tired after riding than they were. I have an almost constant comfortable soreness in my hamstrings (like a good work-out soreness) that I never had before. Hip flexors - get tired during and after I think - feels almost more like upper quads but hard to tell - but no persistent soreness. My watts are lower still by quite a bit but thats complicated by my legs being more tired persistently. I can spin them at 80 fairly easily sitting up - if I drop onto the aerobars my heart rate jumps up about 10-15 beats and I only do it for 4-5 minute intervals a couple times per ride (definitely harder to spin them in aero position. Will contine to work on my cadence and my aero position. I’ve been riding about 5x/week and about 5 hours/week - some days 30 minutes - some days doubles to total 90 minutes.
I’ll give some of my CT test rides a go after about 4-6 weeks and compare heart rates/watts.
Haven’t noted any running changes but of course I’d wonder if I noted anything before at least 4 weeks…
I’ll give another update in about 4 more weeks after some tests…
