What did your two weeks after IMC look like assuming your were/are going to Kona in 6-7 weeks?
Thanks for the help. Unchartered territory for me.

Depending on how hard you ran and what shape your legs are in, for the most part the two weeks afterwards are for swimming only( first week) and then a bit of cycling in the second week. No running until the third week. That’s if legs are REALLy trashed which mine normally were.
I q’d at IMC last year and took two weeks relatively off and then tried to fit some longer workouts in like I had in my build phase leading up to IMC. For me the result of that approach was to feel tired during all of my workouts and tired at the start at Kona and a race performance that I was disappointed in. (and last year there was an extra week between IMC and Kona).
I’m 52 and don’t recover real quickly from an IM. If you are younger, things might be different for you.
If i had qualified this year, my plan was to worry a lot less about the number and duration of workouts that I got in between IMc and Kona and focus more on recovery and some shorter but reasonably intense workouts, relying more on the base I had built before IMC and trying to hold on to my fitness, rather than trying to build it up some more.
Good luck. Kona is a fantastic experience.
