Anyone ever go jogging in Paris? We’re staying right by Luxemburg Gardens so thinking of maybe running there, but don’t know if that is Kosher. Anyone been running there and have a route (5 miles of less is fine, it is vacation after all).
perfectly fine to run around the gardens, it’s a gravel path and you’ll have plenty of company. Don’t step on the lawn or the gendarmes will start blowing their whistles . . .
if you feel like something longer, go down the Champs Elysees out to the Bois de Boulogne. Tuileries gardens also nice, as is the Jardin des Plantes. Paris is so damn scenic that any jog anywhere is going to be pretty spectacular. Just take it easy on the cobblestones.
yes, what Kiki said.
I personally like running along the Seine, there are paths along the river, bridges to cross, parks to run through, and it’s very running friendly.
my favorite way to see a city like Paris is to do a long 10 or so mile run, stopping along the way to check out buildings, gardens, boats, whatever, grab a coffee along the way. I did this in Paris in 1997, ran 14 miles, and covered a lot of sights in about 2-3 hours.

Couldn’t agree more. Paris is a great place to run.
Paris is a great city for runners (watch out for dog poop). I have been there several times and one of the highlight of my trips has always been an early morning run. It’s great to watch a city wake up. I stayed at Hotel Jardin Le Brea in July which was a few blocks from the Jardin du Luxembourg. You could run to the Eifel Tower and up the steps to Trocadero. Several good restaurants in the area where you will be staying. Let me know if you are interested in a seqway tour. Lots of fun.
Run along the river and be aware of the millions of dogshit that lay in the streets.
Yes, it’s a great place to run as others have stated. I can’t remember what time the jardins open, but it’s not early. You could wait, or as others have said run along the Seine. For you, just run down the blvd St. Michel and you’ll come to the river. You can eithr run over the bridge to the hotel de ville or notre dame or just run along the river.
Either way it’s an awesome run.
What everyone else said. Great place to run.
