Just a reminder that tomorrow, Sunday, is the first Slowtwitch Palomar ride. We’ll start at 11am from the store on Highway 76, just past Valley Center Road. Be prepared for cold, high tomorrow on the climb is supposed to only get up to 45 degrees.
Hey, Mike. So what’s the story w/this ride? How long is the climb and how steep? Is it a 1 water bottle climb or 2?

it’s roughly about 11.5 miles long, average grade of 6.5%. That is an average, there are parts that are about 10 - 12%, in the last 2 miles. There is only one “sort of” flat spot in the whole climb, around the 5 mile mark, for about 600 yards. I believe it climbs about 4500 feet over the 11 or so miles. 39 x 25 recommended for 700c wheel bikes. With the cold temps tomorrow, I would say only a one bottle set up will do. There is a store at the top that serves great hot chocolate.
