Paging teh fishies

I swim at Masters with my Aqua Sphere Seal mask. Yep huge. I see nothing wrong with spot the triathlete. Guess I had better slow down.
(My open turns give me away anyways.)

I’ve never managed to get away from the old school foam speedo sprints. I know that I’ll never be a real swimmer until I change over to Swedes
I’ve been using Speedo Sprints exclusively for about 20 years. They’re only like $6, they fit my pinhead perfectly, and a pair lasts a couple of years. The only thing I change is using a bungee strap, which lasts forever, seemingly.

Did you swim today?

No, a second rest day. I am feeling better but my resting HR is still a bit high, so I thought I’d give it at least one more day. I really want to go to Satruday morning practice… there is something about Saturday morning practice that always makes me very happy

What Jill said, try them on first. If you’re nose size challenged, you have many options, but for those of us over-endowed folks the selection is thinner; Tyr Racetechs are cheap (< $10 most places), nearly indestrucible, have fog resistant coating (otherwise spit works great, is plentiful, and free) and most importantly, will fit over about any nose bridge.

Wetsuits, much longer story, there are plenty of threads dealing with fit, brands, sleeved vs. non-sleeved, etc. Do a search, I think bottom line is try before you buy, if possible.

Put some water on the goggles, then put a couple (2-3) of drops of this and spread it with your finger, wash them and they are ready to go…

Goggles: MALMSTEN OPTIMALS I have yet to meet someone who did not like these goggles. They fit most faces, seal well without leaving marks. I have smoke green for strong glare and blue for the pool.

Malmsten was the original producer of Swedish goggles so you can get some of those from them as well. They do leave marks and a lot of people find them uncomfortable without any padding.
