Packing a BBA easy fit, with a disk wheel

Last two times I’ve travelled with my BBA Easy Fit, TSA has opened the box and untied the bike from the velco straps. When done, they never retied the straps. No way will I use that flimsy pole and trust TSA to redo it properly. Luckily, have had no issues using bubble wrap and extra pad from my no longer used damaged Premier case.

I think the BBA was developed in the time when bikes mostly used quick release skewers rather than thru axles.

back from Hawaii with two bikes. TSA agents are just asshole. Bike cases were not even closed. Lost a centerlock adapter on the way. On the way back the TSA lock was lost and the half of the clips were open.

I know it’s not always possible, but i’ve been fairly lucky with asking to be there with the agent when they do the inspection. SFO, Seatac, LAS have all let me do that. Including smaller regional airports.

I’ve travelled quite a bit with my bike and I’ve never had any issues - perhaps I’m just lucky knocks on wood

Same here. Forgot to add they kept my TSA lock and failed to connect two clips. Guess been lucky no damage so far. The BBA seems to be a pretty sturdy case.
