So I got a great deal on a p5-3 and figured I would just do the conversion and be done with it. As it turned out Cervelo no longer carries the conversion kit as the p5-3 is discontinued… So I figured not a big deal I will just order a Aduro base bar and run a setup similar to what Garmin Sharp team has for their TTs shallow fork and the Aduro. Talked with cervelo and it they have never sold the Aduro base bar separately. Still waiting on the final word if they would do it, but if I cannot get my hands on the Aduro what base bar setup would you guys recommend… preferably cleaner so it would cover the cabling etc.
Shimano Pro Missile is a pretty slick setup. Other options: TriRig, 3T Ventus II, Zipp Vuka Stealth.
+1 on the Zipp Vuka Stealth. I love mine
call every cervelo LBS you can think of and ask if they have any take-off Aduro bars, you can probably find one eventually.
failing that:
tririg Sigma/Alpha is a great combo that replicates the aduro in many ways
Shimano’s stem/bar combo does as well
Ventus and USE Tula are very fast
only issue with vuka stealth is that its minimum stack is 3cm higher than the aduro and depending on how OP sized his frame choice he may have limited options. if he needs a lot more stack to pads than the frame stack he should be ok
aduro vs vuka stealth is ~61mm vs 93mm
a vuka bull base with alumina clips can get you same stack if extensions mounted below and will cost about 3w vs the vuka stealth(per zipp)
Not sure if it’s what you want fit wise but the Ventus is on for about 700$ CAD on PBK:
Double check, it just says “base bar” but I assume it means everything.

As mentioned before, I was able to buy an Aduro bar from my lbs. the shop owner had one laying around. This is the only time I have seen this, but call around and you may be able to swing a deal.
Thanks for the helpful responses I will call around and see what I can find. As a side note is this quarq going to fit the p5?i did some reading and was sure this one would work but now am questioning myself. Did I just buy the wrong one;(

nope, will work, only likely to have wave washer on non-drive side and 11mm spacer on driveside
.
Jeff is right, that Quarq is perfect for BBright.
You’ll take off the stuff that’s shown on the spindle in your photo: the adjuster ring and the spacer. In their place, put any common BB30 wave washer in its place, plus as many plastic shims as it takes to compress, but not flatten, the wave washer (typically between zero and four).
Nice build!
