So a while back I had a P3C that I built up and used a few times. I ended up selling it because the front end was a bit lower than I could handle (stubby arms and upper body). The top tube length, on the other hand, felt OK. It was a size 51cm.
I just saw an auction on ebay (not mine, no relation to seller) and was thinking if I had put that many spacers under my stem, it probably would have fit me OK. So my question is, should I have done something like that, or used one of the 3T Brezza style bars and popped the extensions and pads way up? Or is it in fact a sign that the bike is too low for me, and I would fit better on something like a Cdale slice 54 (similar reach to the 51 P3, but higher)?
I know stack height is referenced in the charts on slowtwitch, but it seems like many think it is not important anymore for the newer ‘super bikes’ because of the stack adjustment on the bars. But given bars like 3T, stack can be manipulated on any bike now, no?
