P3 Sl or Carbon?

Give me a reason to spend the extra on the carbon, or to save money and get the SL.

Thanks

The size run is somewhat different betweenthe two bikes. Buy the one you feel fits you the best. You may have a tough time finding an SL since they are no longer made.

Personally, I’m starting to prefer the looks of the sL.
The P3C is nice, but I think there is something classic about the SL.

Get your P3SL fast

They don’t make them anymore

No more P3SL in 2006.

Spend more and get a good steel bike.

Yeah, those steel bikes are super aero and light. Go steel “it’s real”.

Yamaguchi makes a good aero steel bike.

I predict that everyone will be on round-tubed bikes before the end of 2014.

Bamboo is round too. And lighter.

funny funny man, Mr. Timetrial.org and Rotorcranks guru.

I have found them both locally in my size, and both fit. The question is should I spend the extra? and is it worth it?

I have the Carbon, and it is a rocket ship, provided you already own the rocket engine and fuel…

I had the P3 and now the P3C. They are both great bikes.

You wont be more comfortable or faster on the C.

There is not much in the fit, you can make either work for you. In my case both worked but the C is a perfect fit. My advise is go with the one you like the best. The one that looks the best to you.

Get your P3SL ASAP. This is the smoothest riding bike I have ever ridden, including the following:

Kestrel 200 carbon fiber (in a roadie position)

Kestrel 4000 carbon fiber (in a tri position)

Litespeed Tachyon

Guru Trilite

Quintana Roo Kilo

Cervelo Soloist

Actually, I had a softride at one point that road smoother, but that was a beam bike. No reason to spend extra money on the P3C.

The P3C and P2C are hot items, but you look at it logically, do they really offer all that much over the aluminium versions?..

As Tom mentioned, these two bikes are sized differently. Tom wrote a good article about this that is worth a read:
