P3 set up

Just finished building up P3 with full 10 speed shimano and Zipp wheels. Up until now I have been riding a trek 5200. I am having problems figuring out where my max power set up would be. how far ahead or behind the bottom backet should the front of my saddle be… I realize that a lot of this is probably specific to the rider, but is there a start point I can begin at. I have not turned the seatpost to the 78 degree position, as I think 74 will be ok. How do I now where the sweet spot will be for me…

Hmmmm. No bike fitter handy? Well, that’s a tough question to answer without some dimensions.

…I think there was a line in another thread about folks with more disposable income than interest in proper bike fitting prior to purchasing…I think we now have exhibit A.

The answer, as suggested by Tom, is to have someone who know what they are doing fit you. This is preferable done before bike purchase.

Good Luck - I love my perfectly fitted P3 at approx 81 degrees.

While having someone fit you is a nice option (and the easy one) nothing is holding you back from doing your own fit.

On that bike, I would start with 78 degree seat angle and work from there. 78 degrees isn’t the last word, but it is not bad for a first word.
