In a comparison of a 51cm 650c or a 52cm 700c…are the wheel cutouts proportionately the same? Curious to know if the smaller framed 700c sized cutouts cover less of the wheel as opposed to the 650c wheel on the slightly smaller frame.

I’ve been searching Cevelo’s site and trying to diagram it myself…but just no luck in figuring it out. The headtube is shorter on the front end of a 52cm 700c - but would be curious to know if that aero advantage is offset by the rear wheel not being covered as much by the cutout.

The 650c cutout covers a bigger angle (when viewed from the side), which result in about the same amount of frontal area of the rear wheel covered, which results in a relatively larger portion of the wheel being covered. Hope that makes sense.

But don’t base your decision on any of this.
