P2K Frame Sizing

Hi all,
thanks for all the insight and laughs you guys offer, esp. the chicks-guys thing. I’ve been sniffing around here for a while and figure it’s time to leverage of your knowledge some more

I’m pretty pumped on getting a P2K. To get you guys to determine what frame size would be suitable for me I’m guessing I’m going to need to break out the measuring tape. What measurements would be helpful in determining what frame size I would require?

Thanks for your help,

Vaughan.

The traditional method is your inseam x .67 to determine frame size. As described here on this url. Cervelos are sized “properly” in as much that if you ride a size xyz road bike, their P2K should fit you. The people at the shop should be able to set you up properly, at least you’d hope, but always be an educated consumer before purcasing.

I’d recommend sizing it off the top tube. my LBS set my wife and I up with frames that work fine in the seat tube (due to cervelo’s dropped top tube) but with too long of a top tube. I’ve sold my frame and got a smaller one, my wife is still soldiering on. use your current bike as a guide. stems below 100mm are getting harder to find.

My p2k is a 61, my road bike is a 64. My friends is a 55, his road bike is a 59. I know of a couple of people who bought cervelos in their road bike size and ended up with a frame that looks too big. The problem with road bike sizes is they depend on the make of bike. It really depends on how it fits. You need to go to the bike shop and test ride one to see if it fits. I had a preliminary fit then did a test ride then a final fit. Good luck, it’s a great bike.

I ride a 58cm P2K, same size as my road bike. no issues with fit at this point. Be careful when you purchase your Cervelo…my girlfriend says I love the P2K more than her. hmmmm.

Good Luck
