P2c or Carbon Soloist

Here the deal…Cant’ afford to spend the money for 2 Carbon bikes. Have a Soloist Team w/ Full Dura Ace, Mavic Ksyrium (Training) Zipp 404 (Racing). My trianing is on that bike and my shortest weekly ride is 40 miles, Average over 150 per week on the bike. Need to go to Carbon but not sure if I should go to the Soloist Carbon which I am leaning to or the P2C. I am not uncomfortable on the bike in the bars but will the switch to a tri bike make taht big of difference.

Thoughts on the following:
Going into T2 how different will the legs feel from a Soloist vs. P2C?
Since I ride my Alu Soloist in the forward position is this someting really to worry about and just get the bike?

This is a no-brainer. Get the P2C. You already have a Soloist, why would you want another one? The P2C will allow you to ride steeper and more aero than on the Soloist and your legs will feel better on the run. Save the Soloist team for hilly tris and set it up as a road bike to ride with large groups and in the off-season.

I’ll second that. I did two 1/2 IM last year on my road bike and was bummed at how many people blazed past me on TT bikes. Also my runs were hard especially the first couple of miles. I was able to buy a P2C with Zipp 343 tubulars this past May. I’ve been amazed at how fast this bike is with very little effort. On the bike, going 23mph seems like 18 on the road bike and I’ve done two Olympic Distance Tri’s in the past month and on both runs I felt great, none of those first mile stiffness.

I’m hoping to really shave some time off my bike splits in the same two 1/2IM later this year.

BTW, I’m thinking of selling my Colnago for a Coloist Carbon next year.
