Height 6’ 1/2"
torso 58 3/4 "
inseam 33 1/2"

Any ideas? I have been fitted to both sizes and now I am confused.

Figure out how tall of a head tube you need. Start from there, if both supposedly fit. I am 5-10, have a center of crank to top of saddle measure at 77cm. 10cm stem, w/ slight rise. 1cm spacer, Zipp Vuka bar. That works out to about 14cm of drop. I could use a shorter top tube, but a size smaller would leave me 3cm of spacers, I think. There is no honor in that!
Tough call. Do you think the larger frame will be more stable since it has a longer front-center?
I know this is not the way to fit, but hopefully you will get some mental reassurance pending everyone’s response. Working with a good shop is the right way to do it.
I’m same height (don’t have all my other measurements) but ride a 56. Seat in front position with a few spacers under the stem. My theory is you have a better chance of making the 56 fit you bigger/smaller as needed. You can play with seat post position, seat height, bar drop, and stem length with more options. If the 58 is a bit too big/long, you will always be fighting that.
And for the spacer slammers out there - I ride comfortably with spacers and no shame, watch as I pass you by
I am on a 56 @ 5’11" & 3/4.
I’m pretty flat, with about a 12-14cm drop.
I believe Cervelos run a bit long on the top tube. I am 5’ 10" with a 31 inseam and ride a 56. It is probably a tad too long for me. I have my seat all the way forward and a 70 mm stem to get it into position.
the 58 is a LONG bike. I’m 6’2" and i’m on a 56. get a 56 and you can always run a 120mm stem if you really need to stretch out. but i doubt you’ll need to at your size.
If you want to ride with a good drop and flexible what about a 54???
You are definitely not a 58 forget it.
I am 6’ and riding a 54 and very happy with the fit.
I’m 6’2 and on a 58 P2C. The guy at the shop told me I could have fit on a 56 if I needed/wanted to.
6’ 1" and ride a 56. Its spot on with 185 cranks (long legs)
I’m 6’ 1&1/2". I rode a 58 p2k and it worked well but always felt a little bit big. A few months ago, I upgraded to a 56 P3C. I was able to make it fit perfectly.
I would suggest finding a good shop that will take the time to fit you. The 56 should give enough adjustability to find a perfect fit.
I was always taught that when it doubt, go smaller.
I believe this only applied to bikes, however.
“And for the spacer slammers out there - I ride comfortably with spacers and no shame, watch as I pass you by”
Amen!
