P-N Spoiler and the C word

Sometimes I wonder if a day could go by without Cervelo being mentioned on this forum, but I’ve got to give them credit. I was skeptical of Cervelo Test Team. Yesterday, looking at the Paris-Nice results, I was thinking, they have nobody. Well one of their nobodies (to me anyway), nabbed the stage victory today. Amazing.

Did you see how Heinrich Haussler won? Holly cow was he moving…it must have been the S2 he was riding. I went downstairs and kissed my Cervelos after the race.

Anyplace you can watch online?

I subscribe to cycling.tv and watched it live. Pretty good service but they do have the odd glitch.

I find it interesting that for a company that builts its name on TT bikes they seem to have chosen to focus on sprinters for stage wins on their team. I think Haussler was the best placed yesterday at 15th in the TT.
Still none of the big name sprinters, Boonen, Cavendish etc seem to be at P-N this year, but I think Haussler is young and perhaps a sprint star for the very near future.

Interesting, but not surprising. They want wins. TT stages are what, 1/20th of all race major races/stages? And TT stars are fewer as well. I don’t know who was available as they formed the team, but I’d think you’d have much more likelihood of success with second tier sprinter/rouleur than second tier TT specialist.
