It reminds me of the political campaigns where a candidate would get an endorsement from a polarizing figure (Bush or Clinton for example) and then scramble to distance themselves from them…

Me too, but I am not that young. It has more to due to the fact he was never that important the first time his name came up in politics. Kinda of sad when a has been / never was important tries to steal the thunder of OWS a not so important movement.

hah A little more enthusiastic in his support of OWS, but he seems to like anything that looks radical. (all the mid-life tea partiers must have been a real woodie-killer for him) I think this falls in line with why OWS is having and going to have problems; revolutionaries of all stripes like the idea of tumult, of eventual govt collapse/overthrow, because they hope for their own brand of replacement to take hold. This is why I’ve said repeatedly that it would be good for America and dems, if they could get a quick handle and some kind of control, otherwise the stream of crazies that get identified with the movement will kill it.
