Anyone watching FX’s show “Over There”. I think they do a good job showing the tough situation soldiers are facing in Iraq. Just when you feel sorry for an Iraqi and that the US tropps are making a mistake, they make the Iraqi a bad guy, and vice versa. Last show made me hate officers–more. Just as a rant, they made us polish our black boots, despite the fact they will give you away easier to the naked eye and infra-red scopes. We also had to iron our camoflage BDU’s, even though that also ruined the coating that was to help in fooling night vision googles. So I always pitty the soldier at the hands of these promotion focused cocksuckers. Don’t forget to fall on your weapon in a nuclear blast–so someone else can use it.
