I was looking for an integrated bar
What do you guys think of the Oval concepts A700? What about the A900? What about the HED? I know there is a large price difference in the 700 vs the 900 & the HED but are they that much better? or just bling bling?
I ride the A700, have ridden the HED, Easton, and PD carbon integrated bars. They all handle the same and are equally aero, the A700 lacks alot of the hyper-adjustibility you’ll find in $300-400 bars. Plus, the Oval extensions taper to the centerline, and some riders find that uncomfortable.
I prefer aluminium bars to carbon- may be heavier but they handle higher stress loads better. Save the extra $200 for a badass crankset.
I have the A700. All aluminum versus the carbon HED and the A900. So there’s a weight difference but it less fuss with an aluminum bar. Lots of pad mounting options with the A700 and I assume the same system is used for the A900. You can get the A700 for $150. The cowhorns are kind of short. Also if you want different extensions that’s an extra $99. I am 5’8" tall and I cut down the included extensions.
where can you get the A700 for 150?
I just checked and couldn’t find one. I got mine earlier this year and that’s about what I remember paying.
