This is simply amazing. My 8 year old daughter was able to correctly answer those history questions.
Damn, I’m Canadian and even I knew the answers.
However, did you hear what those kids were studying? Lots of psychology majors in there…

Same here and while it is embarrassing and I am very surprised that they wouldn’t know these things, the stuff they’re studying isn’t really too history-related and likely won’t lead to them actually being future “leaders” in terms of being in politics. Also consider that the simple fact someone is a university student doesn’t guarantee a certain level of knowledge or intelligence. The standard of students has certainly been diluted especially in North America. Consider this article about qualification inflation in Canada. Almost all of my friends went to university, but far from all of them would qualify as particularly intelligent and another partially overlapping portion of them studies complete bullshit subjects. Simply put having a university degree or being in the process of attaining one doesn’t mean so much.
The situation is similarly grim in Canada. Fifty-one per cent of Canadian adults achieved “tertiary qualification” — the highest among OECD countries.
At the same time, in this ever-expanding pool of degree-holders, Canada also tops OECD rankings for the largest share of these graduates making less than the national median income.
Our next generation of leaders are the kids of rich people probably preparing for a law degree as an undergrad. It ain’t those kids.
Lots of psychology majors in there…
AKA, those guys and gals throwing the Frisbee on the quad.
