Our long national nightmare is almost over

Good Luck President Obama; you are starting your Presidency on your own 2 yard line, with a minute left, and you’re down by 7 points with no time outs left.

We believe!

Good Luck President Obama; you are starting your Presidency on your own 2 yard line, with a minute left, and you’re down by 7 points with no time outs
left.

To elaborate on your point: They are in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl and are 8 points behind. He is going to need to complete the Hail Mary to end all Hail Marys for the TD and then convert for 2 points just to tie the game.** **
Let’s hope the entire team is behind him, including some of the defense.

You two have it all wrong.

The team’s record is 0-8. It’s 1 minute into the 1st quarter. The offense has the ball on their own 10 yard line. The starting QB just got sacked and is being carted off the field on a stretcher. Expectations for backup QB Obama are extremely low. If he fails, eveyrone will blame it on the old QB and the circustances he was put in. If he has even the slightest amount of success, he will be congratulated. If he actually wins a few he will be hailed as the savior.

It’s a no lose situation for Obama.

I’m laughing because you didn’t elect the next Lincoln, you actually elected the next Nixon. Give it about two years and the light bulb will suddenly come on.

Is that the SOS Hillary Clinton as Center bent over the ball? What an unusual position she finds herself in? She usally pitches. She keeps yelling at Bill to stop taking taking checks from Saudi Arabia. The Clinton Massage Parlor doesn’t need that kind of money. Bill just lights another unusual smelling cigar with a $100 bill. He smiles.

And Bill Richardson, as Left Guard? No, wait, substitution. Conflict of interest with a contractor.

Eric Holder as AG, no, wait, another substitution, seems Marc Rich pardon wasn’t such a good idea.

Tim Geitner as wide receiver, no wait, yet another substitution. Seems Tim has some long overdue checks to write. Who would think that the SOT would be held to the standard of paying his taxes as the executive in charge?

And Rahm Emmanuel, the running back. He keeps looking around, looking behind, seems kinda nervous. What could he be afraid of? Is that a Blago bird singing in the tree?

What a team.

They will borrow and spend our way out of this mess. New plan is out: http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/PressSummary01-15-09.pdf

If only it were so. With all this focus on the presidency, we seem to forget that many of the same old faces remain in Congress. These are the same folks who either supported Bush’s policies (or did nothing constructive) yet are quick to jump on the change bandwagon.

Anyone remember what the vote in Congress was for the much-criticized Patriot Act?..(98-1)

Let’s see if he knows how to govern. He has the campaign thing down pretty well.

**Our long national nightmare is almost over **

Hyperbole and melodrama at its best…

Spot

"As I row the lifeboat away from the Titanic with GW , Capt. Obama comes on the PA , yes we can , Change maybe painful , it may take time "

They will borrow and spend our way out of this mess.

So only Republicans are allowed to do that? What the hell do you call the TARP? It is Socialism at its best.
Seriously, the only time this is an issue for Republicans is when Democrats do it. Republicans borrow and spend more than Democrats. I can provide you the data.
And don’t even talk about Republicans being for “smaller government”. I can provide the Reagan and Bush W. presidential budgets.

Why do you hate President Ford?

…to hew out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope…

What a team. You nailed it. A tax cheat in charge of the Treasury Department. Two bribe takers, one as AG no less. And two unindicted co-conspirators (Clinton and Rahm). Thank goodness the new administration isn’t corrupt.

Obama has something Bush never had – the ability to be a great President. It will be exciting to see whether Obama actually can be a great President. With Bush it was only a question of whether he’d merely be mediocre or whether he’d be truly awful.

I think we’d all be better off if we stopped looking to politicians in DC for direction in how the country should proceed.

Fitzie…I don’t disagree with you. My point was this isn’t change. This is the same thing, with a new face.

Shame on you, don’t you know he is already the greatest President ever

Love you sig line, by the way. Brings back memories.

Wow. Don’t sploog in your pants tommorrow, OK?
