I’ve never face-planted. Looks awful.

I’ve face planted twice off road. Not exactly fun.

First time, just lost control on a downhill and scraped up the whole left side of my face.

Second time, I stalled when checking out a new section of trails- didnt unclip and turtled. As I was going down, I saw a big pile of leaves and aimed for those. Would have been fine if not for the big limestone rock hidden under those leaves. That really rang my bell. Left a big wound right on my right cheekbone.

Those all look bad, but I feel really bad for that first guy. Can you imagine walking around with tire tread imprinted on your face for the next week?

i was 28 miles into 80 on friday decending down a hill. there was trees making a shadow over the road and i didn’t see a pot hole in the middle of the lane. i went over the bars at 24.5 mph. i landed on my helmet and destroyed it, i have stitches in my arm, and road rash all over my leg, back arms. i had to ride another 7 miles to get to a place where my friend could get to me.

crashing sucks.

My friend face planted when he hit a squirrel. The squirrel caught up in his fork @ 25 mph. Front teeth through his lip, broke the nose and his neck. He was lucky he can still walk & run. No swimming for 6-12 months. You never know.

Not to make light of a serious accident, but the obvious reply is “Wow, that’s too bad…but, what happened to your friend?”
.

Half of these were preceeded by, “Hey, watch this!”
.

Probably “Hey hold my (beer/booze/joint) and watch this”
.
