There was a recent thread about best customer service (lexus, trisports, I recall were mentioned very favorably - shoe company beginning with V too). I remember this and thus someone has conveyed a positive message and it has stuck in my mind.
Well folks, if you ever have too many cell phone minutes that are just buring a hole in your pocket or are just feeling too mellow, buy a Dell computer, have a problem with it and try to have them resolve it. Dell SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS. I have a Dell computer through work, called the care line for employees that have Dell and the dude suggested with my HOME system with accidental coverage that I RUN OVER MY COMPUTER WITH MY CAR rather than deal with tech support in India. As a Dell home buyer BEWAAARRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE. They suck, suck, suck.
On hold various times for a total of about 2 hrs being xfrred to different areas of the company, after asking for a supervisor got xfrred to thier government accounts division and just about lost it. The guy to dells defense even though it was not in his area helped out and got a tech out the same day.
A long runs worth of day on the phone is unaccaptable for customer service, perhaps if I spoke broken english it would have been resolved quicker
Customer Service telling you to run the thing over rather than deal with Tech Support sounds like pretty great/honest advice to me. Who the fok else would tell you something like that?
FWIW, I just bought a flat panel monitor from Dell, experienced a myriad of shipping nightmares and I couldn’t think more highly of the service and attention I received from Dell. They busted their ass for me.
