Totally OT… not sure where else to look so why not slowtwitch! I had an older version of outlook and it was easier to use. Got a new computer and it has a new version: 2003. I have looked everywhere… their help menu, online… it’s so confusing and frustrating… here are my questions?
1- how to I download my hotmail contact list to outlook to use it offline? (that was easy with older version)
2- how do I delete messages in inbox while working offline (it says can’t perform that offline but older version did)
3-how do i get it to synchronize with hotmail as soon as I get online ? (old version did that automatically)
All I found online was some outlook live program that works with hotmail for 44.95$… I didn’t have to pay before… is this a scam or what?
I don’t have much experience with hotmail but you should be able to set up a new POP3 account with your hotmail account information, then go to TOOLS then SEND RECEIVE then SEND RECEIVE SETTINGS then DEFINE SEND RECEIVE GROUPS. Find the Hotmail account you created and check perform automatically send receive
What does the message say exactly when you try to delete messages?
It sounds like you already set up your hotmail account because you are getting email right? If so, while in your inbox follow the path I gave above starting with Tools from the Menu bar and then down that path. Need some more information on the not able to delete issue unless someone who uses Hotmail with outlook can help. Does Hotmail have a knowledge base you can look for the right settings?
