I’m going to be putting up a website soon, and I was wondering if anyone had good or bad experiences they would like to share. I’m curious as to the kind of service and more importantly, what kind of reliability you have experienced.

I use Sitelution for my club’s hosting company. I’ve used it for two years and they have great service. http://www.sitelutions.com/
I’ve been using http://servepath.com/index.htm and I like them - good customer service.

I use Dreamhost. They’re cheap, the control panel is intuitive, and their customer service is awesome. www.dreamhost.com
Ask your designer/web guy. Whoeveris creating your content and keeping it updated is the one who is going to be dealing with the customer service and the good/bade interface etc. If they are experienced enough to make you a site, then they should already have a tried and true hosting place.
I’m a designer and I choose www.active-domain.com
They have built in email forwarding and setup utils, as well as very simple to use DNS forwarding system. I don’t know how their customer support is. I’ve never had to call them about any of the 13 websites I’ve had hosted there for the last 4 years.
