OT-Spring Skiing in Tahoe?

Where is best place to ski in April in Tahoe? I will be there in a couple weeks. I was thinking Mt. Rose and/or Squaw? I like steeps and bumps. I alpine and/or telemark, no snowboreding.

Thanks!

And I know Im not supposed to post this here but most people dont go to the lavendar room.

PS. bring back Tibbs!!!

Squallywood has some of the best expert terrain in Tahoe. I’ve spent days there we I used only a small portion of their terrain and we where getting POW’ all day long! Heck, one can spend all day just mixing up KT22 and some Red Dog and go home happy only to realize that we never went and checked out the other 90% of the mountain.

Alpine (next door) also has a strong tele crowd and is a bit more granola(less flashy). Less terrain, but some great stuff as well.

I was at squaw about 10 years ago and didnt discover KT 22 until the end of the day, it rocked!!

I tried Mt Rose this year for the first time and liked it. It reminds of my favorite, Arapahoe Basin. Small, not crowded, mostly locals, and good expert terrain.

Why Squallywood? Im a telemarker, but not a granola.

Sqaw or Alpine esp. for 2 days or more. NOT Flatstar. Amazing there is like 100X more snow down there than up here (I’m 50 miles from Canada) but some years are like that. Those lucky dawgs will be spring skiing until mid summer!
