Last night I went to the Eagles concert in Toronto. They were awesome. After over 30 years they are still able to crank out great sounding music unlike some of the studio only bands that sound like crap when they’re live. It was also one of the most divierse crowds I’ve ever seen at a concert with a combination of businessmen in suits, young teenagers and people that still had 70s hair and clothes and looked like they came out of a time machine. Pretty cool evening.
That is my all time favorite band. If I had any idea they were doing a tour, I would have flown in (Southeast US) to be there. I won’t walk across the street to see anyone else.
Monk they were in Tampa last year
.
I’m glad I “saw” them when I was volunteering as a medic at concerts. I can’t afford those guys ![]()
WTF is wrong with me. I need to watch their website.
I didn’t know they were still alive.
Didn’t their walkers/wheelchairs get in the way of the instruments?
Actually they were pretty mobile. Don Henley had a great line though when he said that they “were no longer considered good video material” since no one wants to see his belly button and they can’t dance … all they can do is play their instruments and sing.
As one other poster mentioned, the cost to see them is sky high … fortunately my wife’s company had a client night out and had a couple of extra tickets so I was invited which makes the concert even better ![]()
What’s the lineup? Last time I looked they were in litigation with Felder. The Eagles I remember from my childhood seemed to hate each other more than just about any other band.
Now it look$ like they found $ome good rea$on$ to get back together.

The lineup was Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Glenn Fry and Timothy Schmidt plus about 12 other backup guitarists, horn players, drummers and pianists. They played 29 songs (I didn’t keep track but one of our group did … what a geek!) and it was a really good show.
As for the cash … I figured there was in the neighbourhood of $2 million in ticket sales for that one night. That would certainly make everyone feel good about hanging out together for a few nights. One of my friends that was there said that he was parked near their tour busses and that each guy had his own bus so maybe they only need to get along when they’re on stage ![]()
