OT: Randy Moss

One of the few funny things George Will ever wrote is that football should be avoided because it combines two of the worst aspects of American culture: violence and committee meetings. I second the suggestion.

I’ve been wanting to do an IM with a big fro for the longest time. Unfortunately, I don’t have the patience to let it grow out. I’ll definitely do it one day, though.

As far as the mooning gesture, it didn’t bother me at all. Of course, I think stuff like that is fun. I like it when players celebrate and express a lot of emotion on the court/field. I enjoy the smack talk, etc… I just have a problem when it’s premeditated or overly contrived like Joe Horn’s cell phone act - then it begins to cross into WWF territory.

I loved the cell phone thing. Same with the guy who pulled a Sharpie out of his sock. Huge.

Don’t understand the fuss of Moss’ behavior, to be honest. He left the field last week with 2 seconds left? Uh, OK . . . Not too classy, and not the greatest show of solidarity and sportsmanship I’ve ever seen, but listening to all the hubbub over it before the game, you’d think he crushed a kitten’s skull on the 50 yard line or something. Not that big a deal, imo.

Great info. I wasn’t aware of that. Also didn’t think it was a huge deal and love the afro.

Where we at now with public opinion on Randy Moss, vs Brett Favre?

Same, different?

I’m from Mississippi, I’ll take Moss.

But, but, per Joe Buck, Moss’s act was Disgusting. And not the current use of the word disgusting in sports.

Won’t someone think of the children?

Reviving a Twenty-one year-old thread?
