OT-Language translation assistance needed

I am getting married in 16 days in London and we are having guests from numerous countries. During my speech I am attempting to welcome everyone in their native language. The only language that I have been unable to find a translation for is the native language of Luxembourg. Lëtzebuergesch I believe is the language I am looking for. If I have to I can use french but this is a special friend and I would like to honor him by speaking in his native tongue.

The statement I am trying to translate is:

“Welcome and thank you for coming to our wedding.”

I have done google searches and been unable to locate a translation for this language. If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful.

I have been amazed by the things I have seen posted on this forum so I am hoping that there is someone out there that can help me.

well…thank you is said ‘merci’ (that was was easy)…you can say merci villmools for thank you very much
wedding is bestietnes
to come is kommen
welcome is Wuelkommen

so it’s something like

Wuelkommen an merci villmools pro kommen eiseres bestietnes

(it’s quite approximate… our is eiser and to do to our you normally add es so eiseres I think…it’s kind of a mix between french and german)…

it should be close enough to understand though
