KERRY PASSES UP TERROR BRIEFING: ‘I JUST HAVEN’T HAD TIME’

Just hours before attending an all-star celebrity fundraising concert in New York, Dem presidential candidate John Kerry revealed how he has been too busy for a real-time national security briefing.
“I just haven’t had time,” Kerry explained in an interview.
Kerry made the startling comments on CNN’s LARRY KING LIVE Thursday night.
KING: News of the day, Tom Ridge warned today about al Qaeda plans of a large-scale attack on the United States. Didn’t increase the – you see any politics in this? What’s your reaction?
KERRY: Well, I haven’t been briefed yet, Larry. They have offered to brief me. I just haven’t had time.
Don’t you think its funny that every time there’s bad news pending for Bush…like his buddy Ken Lay getting indicted yesterday…Tom Ridge issues a nebulous terror threat without any intelligence or evidence and raises the terror threat level?
How many threats will be issued during the Democtratic Convention? start taking bets.
Even if Kerry thinks this is a political move and even if it is, wouldn’t it be in his best interest to take the time for the brief? Let’s see, now he looks like raising money for his own canidacy is more important than our safety and actually says he doesn’t have time. WTF? Not to mention that if he becomes president and something happens shortly after he is elected guess what the Bush people will say? “We tried to tell him, but he was too busy raising money”
It doesn’t matter if you support him or not, this was just a stupid thing to do (miss the briefing) and an monumentaly dumb thing to say. It just looks bad on him
Senator Dianne Feinstein sits on Senate Intelligence and is privy to the most sensitive intelligence we gather. Before this war began she was 100% in support of invading Iraq based upon the intelligence briefings given by the White House.
Now she is convinced that the briefings given were bogus, misleading, and even fabricated and that they were duped into supporting an unnecessary war.
If Senators don’t want to go to intelligence briefings anymore, can you really blame them? I wouldn’t believe a thing that comes from Rumsfeld or Cheney’s office anymore.

If giving money makes them buddies, then you have to conclude that he was Clinton’s buddy as well.
Lay gave huge amounts of money to both parties. I bet he’s pissed about that now, though, huh? Let’s see, which president is NOT in the habit of giving pardons to his cronies?

I think it is sad that the democrats seem to believe every negative thing that is said in the press but will not believe our own government officials. The director of the CIA was appointed by Clinton, not Bush. All of the information that was used by the president was corroberated by Clinton, Gore, and Kerry. Since there isn’t a Democrat sitting in the White House all of this is convieniently forgotten. I don’t understand how you can support a party who has set themselves up to only look good when America looks bad.
I have served my country in combat and would gladly do it again because I love America. I don’t want to see us become subserviant to the UN like the left wants to do. I encourage all of you to do a google search of the communist goals of 1963 and read what was read into the Congressional record. A good portion of them have already been accomplished or are well on there way to being accomplished and it is the policies of the left that support them. You people seriously need to wake up and realize what is happening.
You act like we can appese these terrorists that Have been steadily attacking us. They hate us because they feel we are perverting the world with porn, Brittany Spears, the moral degradation that Hollywood spews forth. I know this is America and they have a right to put these things out but our enemies hate it and willing to die to fight what they believe is the great satan. If we do not have a serious wakeup call in our country, we will one day be living in the constant terror that they have to deal with in Israel. Our enemy is not willing to negotiate so we can either fight, become muslim, or die.
Well the conversation is about Kerry and my point was he should avoid this problem by going to a damn briefing. Also, did Bush miss a briefing to play golf? Just curious because I don’t recall that?
FU*K yeah I can blame them! What are you talking about?! Look if you want to run for president and you want to run the country then you sit your ass in the chair and listen to EVERY fricken piece of intel that comes in. If you think we have intel problems then aske tons of questions, and do your duty to get the answers. These guys can’t just say, “ah, well this is what they said so that’s it”
The point is they don’t know what is accurate and what is not, that doesn’t mean you just stop listening! What kind of 5 year old behavior is that? Any intelligence, regardless of the Bush admin or not, may or may not be accurate and that is just how it is, but you can’t just stop gathering, deciphering, reviewing and sharing it just because some is bad.
If he becomes president the same machine making Intel will be there for him so the source will be the same. Is he going to still not listen because he doesn’t trust it. God help us all.
