Dl’d itunes5 tonight…
synced wife’s original ipod and some songs were not dl’d. mpeg4’s were not brought into her ipod. Only mp3’s. She has a business trip tomorrow and I’ll be a hero if I can make it better.
Q: How can i get mpeg4’s onto her original ipod (they’re on my mini with no problem)…

Make sure the wife’s ipod has updated firmware. Early ipods need newer firmware to support mpeg4 files.
If that doesn’t work, I’m not sure what to suggest…I’m still with iTunes4…in a pinch you might try the “convert selection to mp3” on a test song in mp4 format and see if it then syncs, and see if the sound quality is acceptable. You would probably want to copy the song first and rename it so if that doesn’t work you still have the original.
Did the songs used to be on her original iPod? Did you sync the correct playlists? Is the firmware updated? Is there enough space on the iPod for it to copy over all the selected songs?
