Just curious who plans to watch the Friends finale tonight, who’s sad to see it end, and who couldn’t care less.
Count me in the latter group, but its the buzz here amongst my co-workers, so I was just wondering.
I haven’t been able to get into any sitcoms or serial TV shows in years. Last show I really liked was Northern Exposure, but CBS went and ruined that one. Watched a lot of Seinfeld in its heyday too (another finale that a network ruined with overhyping and underdelivering).
Nowadays, I primarily watch CNN, sports, documentaries about people who build motorcycles and/or hotrods, and that nutty Aussie animal guy on OLN.
The real question is, will Slowtwitch readers watch the ‘Friends’ finally or ‘Lance Chronicles’ tonight?
Granted, I haven’t seen Friends in years, but the wife does have some influence over what we’ll be watching tonight and the Lance Chronicles will be re-aired at least 10 times on OLN during the next week.
I quit watching friends at least 5 years ago. Frankly, the show didn’t make me laugh anymore. The same old jokes/lines, over and over again, and very obvious humor that simply didn’t entertain me. I don’t miss it. Now, I DO miss Seinfeld…although there is an hour of it on every night here (and I still watch it, even though I’ve seen them all).
The show rocks. My wife and I are taping it though kuz our running club has a weekly run each Thursday at 7:15 so we might miss a little, but the show is awesome. Matt Leblanc is hilarious. I know I’m cheezy. He looks exactly like that in real life by the way as I saw him at LAX when he was dropping off his mom.
Big fan of Friends. Reminds me of my 20’s, except their more tame. I’ll watch Friends and tape the Lance Chronicles. Not much on tv to replace Friends.
I’ll tape Friends, always been a fan…but usually dont have time to watch it anymore.
About Lance Chronicles, I’m really scared since it’s not on the sceduled for tonight(OLN Canada)…Please tell me that they did not put it out!!! Last week was really good and even if there will be some Sheryl Crow crap, I’m looking forward to ep2. If they put it out, I’ll be en tabarnac!!!
stopped watching friends 3-4 years ago, about the same time I stopped having a TV in the house. Used to watch it all the time, enjoyed it almost as much as seinfeld and the simpsons. I’ve seen a handful of episodes in that time, and it seems as if the quality has dropped off some. Joey has always been my favorite character and is still very funny, almost no matter how bad the writing is. glad to see he is getting his own sitcom, but i’m not about to get a TV and start paying cable bills b/c of it.
